Automation Test Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Crawley or Peterborough (1 day per week onsite)

The Role

We’re looking for an Automation Test Engineer to design and maintain test automation frameworks across UI, API, and backend systems. You’ll build scalable automation, strengthen CI/CD test coverage, and ensure the quality of integrations across our Teams telephony analytics platform.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright, Selenium, and Python.
  • Integrate automation into Jenkins, Docker, and AWS CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create test data, mocks, and environments for reliable and repeatable runs.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
  • Validate end-to-end telephony flows and analytics integrations in Microsoft Teams.
  • Log, track, and report issues with clear defect documentation.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Python for test automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker, AWS).
  • Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with telephony platforms (Microsoft Teams, SIP, or Graph APIs).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with BroadWorks or Webex platforms.
  • Familiarity with Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch monitoring.
  • ISTQB or similar QA certification.
